PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) is a highly crystalline super engineering plastic with excellent chemical resistance and self-extinguishing properties. However, its high molding temperature (270~320ºC), poor thermal stability, and high gas generation make stable molding difficult. In addition, high GF content increases frictional force and accelerates wear of screw assembly parts, etc. In addition to the standard functions of the SE-EV series, the integrated operation of the PPS package and dedicated screw assembly enables stable molding of not only PPS but also other super engineering plastic resins. This screw assembly is specially designed to withstand the high temperatures and wear of PPS molding. Cylinder material is selected for PPS packages; specifications of the 3-piece set vary depending on the GF content.
The backflow prevention ring does not rotate with the screw to reduce wear of the heating cylinder, even for resins with high GF content.
High-capacity zone 1 heaters provide stable metering of PPS, which requires a large amount of heat.
A dedicated temperature control connection circuit is provided for 3 zones, which can be equipped with high-capacity heaters for high-temperature molds. Two zones are located on the movable side and one zone on the fixed side, each zone has a capacity of 6.0 kW, and two outlets are provided.
The "degassing mode" of the multi-toggle, which controls the Clamping Force in multiple steps, effectively discharges gas that has flowed into or generated in the cavity. Initial conditions are automatically entered by the easy setting function.
